What does M-Surveillance do?

M-Surveillance helps you to record the audio and capture pictures from your phone even when the phone is not physically present with you. You send an SMS form a mobile phone to start the audio recording or a picture capture.

How does M-Surveillance work?

To set up a surveillance system using M-Surveillance you would need two mobile phones. One mobile phone need to run android os and in this phone you would install M-Surveillance. Let us call this phone as “Controlled Phone”. The other mobile phone can be any mobile phone from which you can send and receive SMSs. Let us call this phone as “Controller Phone”.

After installing M-Surveillance in the “Controlled Phone” you would need to configure for the proper operation of M-Surveillance. Please refer the configuration steps mentioned here. During the configuration you would need to specify the “Controller Phone” number.

After the configuring M-Surveillance in the “Controlled Phone” you need to place the phone from where you like the audio to be recorded / picture to be captured.

When you like the audio to be recorded or picture to be taken, send an SMS from the “Controller Phone” to the “Controlled Phone”. The format of the SMS is specified here.

M-Surveillance application which is running in the “Controlled Phone” examines the SMSs from the “Controller Phone” and acts on it if required. Based on SMS received from the controller phone, it records the audio or captures a picture.

Can anyone control my mobile phone?

M-Surveillance listens to the commands only from the “Controller Phone” which specified during the initial configuration.

After the initial configuration can I change the “Controller Phone”?

Yes.

I receive “Capture Picture Failed” SMS back when I initiate the picture capture through SMS. What is wrong?

This application stores the captured pictures in the SD card, if SD card is not present or if it is not mounted, you would get the failure message.

Where does the recorded audio/picture/video gets stored?

This application stores the captured audio/pictures/video in the SD card. Please note that the recorded contents will NOT be visible on the phone till you connect the phone to the computer and mount the SD card on the computer. After this you can see the contents on the phone itself.

Audio files are in: CapturedAudio folder in the root of the SD card.

Picture files are in: CapturedPictures folder in the root of the SD card.

Video files are in: CapturedVideo folder in the root of the SD card.
